Stuff About Me
You can be the someone who is ill or just know someone you care about who is, or possibly you care for someone who needs special care due to chronic illness. Regardless of who you happen to be, we'd love to have you visit with us anytime.
In my duration at ezboard, I was also asked to be the admin of a grief and loss support board called 'Grief and Loss NZ'. founded by a lovely lady named saffy. I and a friend attended Hospice training years ago and with the help of my Dr. started up the local Hospice where we live, so taking over another friend's grief & loss board came easily. We have a grief and loss forum at The CFIDS/FMS Chatterbox for anyone who may need a bit of help "getting through a period of sorrow". Whether you've lost a loved one to death, or a beloved pet, or maybe you are suffering from an irrevocable loss of relationship through divorce or misunderstanding, whatever it may be...just come and vent and cry if need be. Someone will be there to "listen".
I have met wonderful people in my duration at ezboard, and here at Yuku. Some have become dear and valued friends. Internet friends can oftentimes turn out to be the absolute best friends in life you'll ever have! I know that has been my experience.
ABOUT ME:
Have two grown sons. No grandchildren...but we have five cats and three dogs (as you can see), that are loved to bits and spoiled miserably. They're all angels though!
I am a writer with a few pieces published here and there, and who keeps procrastinating terribly on 'the book' for which a contract has been signed, as of the fall of this last year. It is primarily a poetry book with a few short stories and life experiences included.
I have a web site for novice and experienced writers to submit their material to called 'The WordSmith'. We have writers who are published with the likes of the 'Chicken Soup For The Soul' series of books and a few others. And I have a writing community here at Yuku called 'Writer's Block'. It was named after a favorite web place I used to haunt when I was very new to the www years ago. It broke my heart when the couple that owned it unplugged it because they couldn't keep up. I missed it terribly and decided to start a similar namesake place this many years later. The Writer's Block name indicates writers in the neighborhood, on the same block...just like your next door neighbors where you live. A common place to write and read good material.
Come on over to Writer's Block when you can, and if you are a writer or would like to become one, post your masterpieces anytime. And if you'd like your special piece formatted with music, graphics etc...you may use the 'EXPRESSIONS' e-mail click link on any page there or the one here in my profile, to submit it to our editor/s for that purpose. Whatever can not be added here by way of special formatting, will be published at The WordSmith with a link to it provided for you.
I enjoy writing, creating, crafts (if ever I find time), socializing, intellectualizing (hmmm...that takes about a minute!) upon life's bigger truths ... my family, my furry family, friends, and a close relationship with my maker. I love doing computer graphics (although I'm not great at it) and learning new things. I taught myself html through the years and can do simple and basic things with it. CSS has been a challenge however!! I almost think I've missed the boat on that one, but still trying!! HTML hasn't been nearly as difficult to grasp for me. I'm an old dog still trying to learn new tricks. And every once in awhile I may get that accomplished. I'm anxious to meet new friends. Thanx for stopping by today.

Maybe when life settles down I will stop in and visit your forum.
Right now we're finding it hard to deal with our own.
I will be opening my Blog again also and when I do I have some poetry there.
I am also working on publishing a book, but right now all that is on hold so I can focus on Paine getting better.
