How some ppl can call themself "Christian" and not follow one of the basic tenants of christianity to "love one another". They have
"classes" now, to help the mis-understandings that have existed thru the years towards gays and lesbians.
Here's the thing, had any of them truly possessed the savior that I know and love, into their hearts to begin with ... said classes would be moot.
Anyone who can just stand in judgement of another's life, look w/disdain and or hatred upon another and still think they are "Christian" are anything but.
Our oldest son lived through hell and is looked upon with just such disdain even today after years of growing up in turmoil & being reared in such thinking. God made him.
God loves him.
And who is anyone to say (or treat him) as if he is anything BUT?
The God I know personally, believe in whole-heartedly, who lives in me today, who is my life ... LOVES!
End of story.
Anyone who does not look with love upon another person or group of ppl is just not able to justify any claim to be a "christian" in my book.
And ... not just MY book, but Gods.
His own words:
"Beloved, let us love one another. For love is OF God and he that loveth is BORN of God and knoweth God. He that loveth not, knoweth NOT God, for... God IS love" 1John 4:7-8
And while I'm glad to see churches taking an active role in trying to rectify the "lack of love" toward others by doing these things, it is still a sad statement to us all of how far short we fall in the dept. of loving one another. And it seems that some may never learn.
If you are out there in the world as someone other than the "cookie cutter" same as the next person, run of the mill human, don't let anyone ever make you feel less valuable a person than you truly are. I don't care who you are, where you're from, what you do or don't do, what your religion or non-religion, whether you seem to "fit the so-called norm" or not ... you are a unique, one of a kind, loveable person. And despite what you've heard or lived through the years, GOD (the real one), loves you. And He loves you whether anyone else thinks so or not. Whether you feel like it or not, whether you want Him to or not. You can take Him or leave Him if you want to. But regardless, He loves you. And because He loves you, you are valuable. You never have to be or to feel valuable in this life to have Him love you, you ARE valuable! Just because God loves you.
I'm nothing without Him.
I have not one bit of value of my own.
But because God loves me, I KNOW that I have value in this world. And it's the same with everyone.
For He loves everyone the same.
Just my comment for the day.
