This should be subtitled, When It's Too Good to Do Good, as it can be overdone. For instance, I took a hike in a nearby mountain yesterday. As I got to the quiet side of the mountain (away from the highway) it was so peaceful and the view of a larger mountain was so beautiful that I thought I'd just sit for a few minutes, something I rarely do when out walking or hiking. A lot of the wildlife was scrambling as I walked by on paths so I...I passed right by him...

Just days after my last opportunity to help someone out, I passed right by someone else. It is hard to tell these things sometimes. I was out taking a hike when I heard a man yell who was further along a winding trail which put him at least a hundred feet above me. The only thing I could make out was "Hey..." I didn't see anyone else around so I shouted back "What?" but he didn't answer so I figured he wasn't calling...Reaching out to strangers

I posted this on my other blog, too...
One evening last week on a trip to the grocery, I noticed a woman crossing through the parking lot. There was something different about her, she seemed old and young at the same time. Anyway, as I was leaving I discovered from where she had come. Next to a little lake were several shopping carts, very neatly arranged with clothing and baby paraphernalia. Amid these carts was a baby crawling on...Summer is going fast!

Summer is going really fast now! Our trip back in June was 3 weeks long. We haven't done much of anything since returning. It's too hot really; I should be working on indoor pursuits other than this computer.
